Well, the tournament has just begun. And Team USA unfortunately lost their first game even though Denmark was huge underdog against USA. Catcher Nicholas Ryan Mullins thinks that losing to dannish team makes tournament little bit harder.
“It was a big game, there was a big chance for us to win. We just didn’t have the big hit when we needed it. It’ s not tought, it just makes it little bit harder,” said Mullins after the game.
What bout your players. Are you happy with the performance or you need to warm up little bit? “I was happy with our batters performance. Our pitcher threw a good game. We have to do better job. Overall performance was ok, but we need to do better.”
Denmark was a huge underdog. Did you expect that the game will be that tight? “Every team here is a good team. So I don’t expect any easy game, I expect tight game everytime we play.”
Are you going to do something differently? “We gonna show up and we gonna play hard. Next time we might win.”
One way or the other, Team USA has landed in the heart of the Europe. How do you like Prague so far? “Beautiful city. Buildings and architecture. Everything is great. We gonna play few more games and then we wanna enjoy the city little bit more.
